Godavari Foundation’s GIMR was established in 2001 to make youth equipped with 360-degree minds for the future. GIMR is committed to enhancing the capabilities and potential of students to bridge the gap between academia and the corporate world. Our students need to work on five areas that employers value: communication, creative problem solving, resourcefulness, curiosity and professionalism.
As technology changes our day-to-day lives in ways that were unfathomable only a few decades ago, the world of work is undergoing a parallel transformation. Education is the weapon to overcome this. Education should be used as a means of developing competencies, instead of being the goal itself. It should inspire students to do something innovative, rather than just be job hunters — holding a degree is not enough if one lacks knowledge; there is no use scoring a first division if the knowledge behind it is missing.
GIMR always advises students to follow a five-point formula for a meaningful life: character, good thought, goal, a blameless life, and sacrifice.
I am confident that with the concerted efforts of the management, faculty, staff and students, GIMR will scale new heights of excellence in the years to come.
